radiant rains with stencil

P1030653
hi everyone  wow it’s the weekend
not long now till Monday when Sheena will be show casing the radiant rain sprays and daubers

here i used the paints on water colour for a back ground with the blue and pink just swiped over with a brush to make tree like  shapes, once dry i stencilled the bird  and twig with  cut and dry for a crisp image  with both the colours i used in the back ground mixed together
then with versa mark and white wow powder went over in places to add more branches and a little more contrast i wiped the edges with   white glitter embossing powder  heat embossed matted and layered onto core-dination card stock and a little satin ribbon onto a 8x8” card blank
here is another link to a video Sheena has done on making toppers

Christmas Heart Tree Decoration

P1030736

Had a change from mittens

made a vintage heart  Christmas tree decoration

i used the  largest Nestie from classic heart die…. so darn easy to  cut takes all the guess work out

you know they will be perfectly cut each time i glued this together with book binding glue left a opening so i could fill with toy stuffing then closed  again with glue the stitched and decorated as the mittens

i did add a extra bell to the point after i took the picture

this one has got the crystal snow flake  i made with acetate glossy accent and glass glitter

glued on with glossy accents it stuck really well  im impressed

Victorian style vintage mitten

P1030732

vintage pre printed mitten

kept this one  neutral to go with the Victorian   vintage material

i cut out the shape then went around the edges with book binding glue to stop it fraying

then blanket stitched in cream   but im thinking i could have  stitched in white  or brown thread

what do you think ?

added the bridle ribbon from Joanna Sheen the other embellishments are from wild orchid

hello again  wow it’s Friday already where has this week gone?

November is nearly over im sure i have missed some weeks it’s flown by.

had fun with this card  with radiant rains paints sticky two’s and foils a very quick card to make from scratch but never the less a very pretty  effect

i made the background once again with paints and cling film  cut into sections matted onto some contrasting core-dination card then die cut and embossed the leaves on the panels i added the sticky two’s and foils  a few pearls and then 3D the leaves with  gel

i really do love the cling film effect you are always going to get an original  and the sticky two’s and foils so detailed

texture paints stencil and wow powders

P1030699
good evening everyone eye test done all is well don’t need new glasses again second year in a row
im so pleased
right what did i add to the pot for this card
texture paste embossing powder radiant rain paints  water colour card stencils dies flowers centrua pearl card
and Sticky two’s with foil

with versa fine clear and swirl stencil i stencilled the design onto water colour card added the pink glitter wow powder heat embossed then with the pink and purple radiant rains swiped over in bands let it blend and dry matted onto mirri card then i used centrua pearl card  well watered down pink paint  as i have done in my other cards  put over a wash  then with tissue took most of the paint off to get a soft effect  once dry i added the bird stencil with texture paste and glitter
a thicker layer of paste this time to give  more depth
the tiny heart from the sticky two ( rub on )romance set  with pink foil became the leaves  on the branch
they are great to work with go on lots of surfaces and so easy to apply  they have a lot of detail and nothing is lost at all once foil is applied….. love them !
added a few snow flakes and flowers and peel offs
just think your own sparkly glittered patterned card  heat embossed so you loose no glitter ..perfect !!
thank you for popping by  this evening

radiant rain with texture paste

                                             P1030661
good morning bloggers
day three sneaky peeps
i added  some texture paste in the pot today with some crystal glitter
to go with the radiant rain paints stencils and embossing powder

first i  dabbed through the stencil with versa mark clear ink pad then heat embossed with gold embossing powder
wet the water colour card and added the radiant rain paints in bands they blended all by them selves  once it had settle a little i added  some denim distressing inks around the edges to get a darker effect once dry
placed the butterfly stencil on top and added the modelling compound with my finger lol ………….couldn’t be bothered to get a palette knife …  filled in the open spaces then just tapped with my finger to get some texture ….lifted the stencil and covered it with crystal glitter while it was still wet ..  it doesn’t show in this picture sorry for that….
left to dry then matted onto gold mirri and royal blue mirri  from Joanna sheen
added a few flowers..  the stencils from crafters companion are lovely why not pop over and check them out
the stencil i used for the back ground is 12”x12” size ideal for scrapbooking ….in fact all of them would be perfect for scrapbooking pages
if you would like to try adding raised texture to your cards  the paste is widely available  it can be mixed with paint or painted over your choice quite safe to use with your card stock will dry rock hard ….
im off out this morning into town eye test then shopping with mum so hopefully auto post should work
thank you for popping by today

Radiant rain with spellbinders snow flake die

                                          P1030663
hello again
here is another card
made with the Radiant rain sprays using  just two colours
the Mediterranean dauber and  the spray snap dragon onto  centrua pearl card

using  the cling film  technique  again this time with  less water spritzed on card and more paint..
i made 2  background sheets  laying them side by side so that the colours would be consistent through out  left to dry flat
die cut my snow flakes i cut an extra one from plain white centrua card
the negative from die i used as a stencil ….. went over  my backing paper in the mixed paints from my matt  don’t have too much paint on the cut and dry  test it out first on a scrap of card
i very lightly dabbed in the new colour going over in some areas to get  a darker shade of colour the colour is still transparent enough to see the back ground  underneath  a very frosty  card all round
i heat embossed my sentiment stamp from my stash in white wow embossing powder matted onto silver mirri card added some ribbon fibre sorry don’t know it’s name and a few crystal gems to finish off
to think that every time you do this technique you will never get 2 the same it’s magic ! i hope you approve ?
do pop by tomorrow for a different technique which is so much fun to do with the stencils form Crafters Companion
thank you for popping by

Radiant rain sprays and stencil and cling film

                                   P1030651
hello  crafters another sneaky peep at the Radiant rain sprays and stencils
from
Sheena Douglass will be sharing with us on TV on the Monday 28th November  do try and catch the shows
if you remember yesterday i got the go ahead to play this time i introduced  embossing powders
 and Cling Film !
its so much fun you do get messy ….but at the same time you get some
fantastic effects with this technique every time it’s different

can i just say the colours in the sprays are concentrated and rich in colour  so you don’t need to use a lot to get it like the  above image i used lots of  water

with Centrua Pearl card again  wet it with clean water and then lightly sprayed the card with 2 colours i can't remember which  sorry i just got stuck in .lol…… but it had to be a pink and a purple once it had all started to blend i  placed over the cling film scrunched it up  all over you will see the puddles of paint collecting in the creases  don’t over do it  you will loose your colors and make a puddle of mud!!!!!!!!!
leave card to dry  it will buckle but once dry it should flatten out
if not just run a iron over the back not that i did cor i don't do irons!!!! lol ...

as you can see  it’s a very subtle effect  when you add lots of water to the paints  totally different from what you would expect ….you get new colours when they blend together the light colours will move the dark colours away...
with the  stencil and cut and dry foam using a small amount of paint in the same colours i used for backing paper and more centrua pearl card i stencilled the tower .. you get a sharper  image doing it that way  with the cut and dry foam.…..once dry i over stamped and heat embossed in black glitter powder around the edge to add extra texture then i cut it out
attached to card base with Collall 3D gel  then i ran the remaining card through with the swirl Darcie embossing folder it embossed beautifully matted onto gold mirri card added a few feathers and flowers from wild orchid  hat pins  and ribbon i had already got from joanna sheen
thank you for popping by today

Sheena Douglass Sketchy leaf stamp and Super Assortment Core-dination card

                         P1030720
here is another card i made using core-dination card to make the card base and the  matts and layers
all  from just 2 sheets with some left over
the colours in photo are very muted its far more vibrant in real life the colours in the Super assortment pad are stunning!
i had some of the leaves  from my first card i have shown  so this time i cut out the Sketchy leaves to make the embellishment didn’t want to waste them  they went so well with the card stock
i heat embossed the sentiment  made 2 bead danglers as a charm….. with a touch of gold mirri  card candi and spotty ribbon from Joanna Sheen
a nice Autumnal card
hope you will pop back tomorrow for more sneaky peeps
hugs linda xxx

Sheena Douglass Sketchy Autumn leaf stamp with Radiant Rain shimmering mist and daubers

P1030717
HI there  people
just got the go ahead to share my DT samples
you will now see why i got messy !!!…the parcel arrived with the goodies in
we were each given sprays / daubers stencils and foil kits
i got the pinks/reds. blues/purples  colours
so i can hear you thinking OK! but there is yellow in this ?
yep your not wrong !
Sheena said just play and have fun  oh….. im telling you… did i have fun  i got down and messy adding my  mustard seed distressing inks into the pot with embossing powders just because i could..
bad idea to tell Linda to play with no safety net lol …. but over the next few days i will hopefully show how versatile these paints are and will fit in with all the other crafting goodies you might have

i started making a backing paper with centrua pearl card from crafters companion
swiping over the coral berry and a touch of teal with my paint brush
spritz with water and let them blend once dry i went in with mustard seed distressing ink added some places, once it was dry i over stamped and heat embossed in gold then with the paints from my mat i dropped in the colours to the leaves  just let them do there own thing.
on heat resistant acetate  i stamped and embossed more leaves then dabbed Spectrum noir in to the leaves in reds and greens  once dry i covered the leaves in glossy accents and glamour dust  crystal glitter  left to dry
you get a stained glass effect very sparkly but picture doesn’t show too well nice bit was i could stick  it to background with Collall 3D gel under the leaves  all matted onto gold mirri card the ribbon is from Joanna Sheen … and the shrink plastic leaves were cut with my sizzix  leaf die and coloured in with  daubers  then shrunk for the dingle dangles
thank you for popping by to visit
