Aid to getting your light scorce in colouring

you will need a scrap of acetate and marker pen
draw the lines as shown in image
i used the right angle lines on my cutting mat

here i have over laid it onto a stamped image
as you will see the light scorce is coming from the right
this can be moved around to any angle left right top bottom
you choose

(example)-the blue arrows show where the light will hit
this is where you will start with your  lightest colour
be it Spectrum Noir ...Crayons... or water colour paints
after a while  you wont need to use the aid
its a great way of learning to get  a 3d effect from you stamped images
thank you for popping by today

Thank you for this Linda - I always try to imagine where the light will hit an image but doing it this way should make it much easier.

Thanks for this Linda, unfortunately colouring is not my strongest point, tried to find workshops to no avail, so your tutorials are great
